Why Do I Specialise In Working With Men?

Everyone deserves access to Psychotherapy and counselling. In 2016, when I developed anxiety, I found that resources for men were very hard to find. I reached out to my local NHS mental health service, Healthy Minds. After a few months, I found that their first-line intervention of seeing a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner did not help, because I was told to distract myself, instead of working to resolve my issues.

In 2020, I began training as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor. I have gained skills and experience with my private clients, in placement, and as a member and volunteer with Mentell, serving as a lead Facilitator in their online circles. I’ve worked with men from all over the country and internationally too, all with varying problems, some with partner issues, work-related problems, depression, legal issues, bereavement, etc. The one thing we all had in common was a desire to feel seen and heard, with support from other men in a safe, judgment-free space.

This is so important because for decades, society has shamed men for talking about their feelings, and it was only acceptable for women to sit with other women and talk through everything that’s been bothering them, things like relationship issues, kids, partners etc. It’s natural that women can talk about these things, whereas society deems that men are weak for discussing their feelings or emotions.

Men need spaces to connect with other men, as well as everyone else in society. My inclusive approach to everyone includes a men’s safe space. With my prior experience, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Why Choose Me?

The goal isn’t to change who you are—it’s to get rid of the noise so you can operate at your best.

I know that taking the first step can feel like a massive hurdle. That’s why I keep my process clear and transparent from day one. You don’t need to commit to a lifetime of soul-searching; you just need to be willing to show up and put in the work.

If you’re ready to drop the weight you’ve been carrying and get some traction, let’s get started.

How I work

I look at personal growth and mental fitness the same way you’d approach any other challenge: you assess the current situation, identify the bottlenecks, and build a toolkit to address them.

Pragmatic & Focused: I bridge deep insight with positive, actionable psychology. Looking at where you are now and where you want to be.

Collaborative, Not Conversational: This isn’t just about venting; it’s a partnership. We work together to figure out what’s holding you back and how to move past it.

Zero Judgment: Whether you’re dealing with stress, burnout, relationship pressure, or just feeling stuck, we focus on solutions, not labels.
